What conditions are associated with the thyroid gland?

Depending on the poor or excessive production of thyroid hormones, there are 2 types of conditions: hyperthyroidism AND hypothyroidism.

Hyperthyroidism It is a less common condition and represents the production of too many thyroid hormones. The symptoms of this condition are usually the following: tachycardia, sudden weight loss, irritability. Other symptoms are: increased nervousness, exaggerated fatigue and sweating, heat sensitivity, muscle pain, change of hair structure, menstrual cycle disorders, insomnia, acceleration of intestinal transit, psychosis, anxiety.

Some of these symptoms would not necessarily indicate a thyroid gland level disorder. Yet, if they repeat and arrive at the pack with other symptoms of those listed above or below, in the case of hypothyroidism: you should consult a specialist doctor. Investigations involve blood tests and physical examination. And depending on the result, the treatments will be different.

Hypothyroidism It is the opposite of the previous condition, when the thyroid gland cannot produce enough hormones. In this case, another type of symptoms are installed, such as: sudden weight gain, cold sensitivity, depression, fatigue, constipationloss of appetite. But also other symptoms such as: muscle or joint pains, dry hair and skin, fragile nails, thyroid gland (Ona), increased cholesterol levels, menstrual changes, vocal changes.

If this condition is aggravated, other health problems arise, as a loss of constant memory, disorder at the level of thought processes, heart problems and bones. And as in the first case, an investigation is needed for the doctor, therefore, following a hormonal treatment.

Who is most inclined to the problems of the thyroid gland?

Unfortunately, women are much more affected by the problems of the thyroid gland than men. The operation of this gland is directly influenced by the level of estrogen in the body. When the level of estrogen is above the norm, the activity of the thyroid suffers. And consequently a woman has problems with menstruation, this is irregular; Menopause can occur before the average age; There are conditions at the level of fertility, the ovulation process is interested.

Can swimming pools be prevented at the thyroid gland level?

If we have a healthy attitude towards style and lifestyle, we opt, it is possible to prevent many conditions, including those relating to the thyroid gland!

The most important things to respect are:

  1. A balanced and correct diet. Nutritionists and doctors recommend regular consumption of high iodine foods. These are: seafood, fish, fruit and vegetables, in particular spinach, nuts, grapes, carrots. In addition, the positive effect on the body has: extra virgin olive oil, avocado and marine cabbage. At the same time, it is recommended to avoid excessive consumption of raw cruciferous vegetables (cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli) which, due to a substance – Gointrogen, directly affects the thyroid gland.
  2. Avoid consuming transformed productsFast food and those containing excess sugar and fat.
